York Revolution News Release

Brooks Robinson began his Hall of Fame career in York, PA and today, he asked for the communities help in selecting the team name for York's new minor league baseball team. Robinson unveiled a list of five (5) finalists in the "Name Your Team" contest and asked fans to vote for their favorite. Voting begins on Monday, June 5 and runs until June 26.

The finalists for the "Name Your Team" contest are CHOPPERS, DUKES, REVOLUTION, STEEL HORSES AND WHITE ROSES. Fans can vote by visiting the team's website at www.NameYorksTeam.com, at any area Rutter's Farm Store or by mail.

"York Co. is near and dear to my heart and I am proud to be a part of the team bringing baseball back to the place where my career began," he said. "Our great new team deserves a great name and I hope the entire community will participate in the voting."

Robinson, who serves as a special assistant for Keystone Baseball, will be appearing in television and radio commercials beginning on Monday, which promote the "Name Your Team" contest.

The five finalists were chosen via the first phase of the "Name Your Team" contest, in which over 4,000 entries and hundreds of names were submitted. A committee comprised of team personnel, league officials and representatives from York Co. reviewed the submitted names, along with the comments registered by the community, in establishing the list of finalists.

"This will truly be York's team and we can think of no better way to choose the team name then by letting the community vote," said Keystone Baseball President Jon Danos. "This is the first of many exciting events as we prepare to play ball next season and we look forward to the entire community participating in the final voting and helping to name the new team."

The new, 5,200-seat ballpark at the York Outdoor Recreation Complex will be located in downtown York on Arch Street. The team will play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.

As part of the "Name Your Team" contest, a drawing among all those who submitted the winning team name will be held, for a grand prize of two (2) lifetime season tickets. There will also be a random drawing among all entrants for two (2) season tickets to the inaugural season.

In addition to voting online and at Rutter's locations, fans can also mail in their vote to York Baseball, P.O. Box 1269, York, PA 17405. Entries must be received by midnight on June 26, 2006 and are limited to one (1) vote per person. The "Name Your Team" contest is sponsored by Fox-43, Rutter's Farm Stores, WARM, WSOX, WSBA and York Newspapers.
