STATEN ISLAND, NY (July 2, 2018) - Ross Adolph homered and drove in three runs and the bullpen posted 5 1/3 scoreless frames of relief, sending the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Short Season, Class A affiliate of the New York Mets past the Staten Island Yankees 7-4 Monday night at Richmond County Bank Ballpark in the second of a three-game set.

BIG MOMENTS

Ross Adolph went 2-4, including a two-run home run in the top of the second inning to give Brooklyn a 2-0 lead. He added a game-tying RBI single in the sixth inning, making it 4-4.

The Cyclones broke a 4-4 tie, scoring a run when Chase Chambers hit into a double play with the bases loaded.

Jose Medina added insurance for the Cyclones, crushing a two-run double into left-center field in the eighth to push the advantage to 7-4.

Relievers Billy Oxford, Ryan Selmer, and Yeudy Colon combined to twirl 5 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball. Colon earned his first save, collecting the final six outs. KEY CYCLONES CONTRIBUTORS
