Broncos Sign 5 Players

Swift Current, SK---Swift Current Broncos' Head Coach and General Manager Mark Lamb has announced that the club has signed 5 players to WHL contracts.

The Broncos have signed 17 year old forward Brandon Bruce of Kelowna, 16 year old forward Brendan Hopkins of Airdrie, AB and three 15 year olds from this past spring's bantam draft: Zac Mackay of Swift Current, Bobby Zinkan of Calgary and Josh Sinatynski of Ft. Saskatchwan, AB.

The club heads into the exhibition schedule with 34 players on the roster. The team opens exhibition tonight (Wednesday) against the Moose Jaw Warriors. Below is a current roster for the team:

Dillon Wagner is currently in Edmonton recovering from off season knee surgery and should return to the Broncos in late September.

The Broncos will ice a rookie laden lineup against the Warriors on Wednesday as 15 veterans will sit out of the exhibition contest at the Moose Jaw Civic Centre.

The club has also announced that forward Michael Hay of Winnipeg will remain in Manitoba to play Junior 'A' this season with the Selkirk Steelers of the MJHL. He had 1 point in 30 games with the Broncos last season.
