Calgary, AB - The Swift Current Broncos snapped a 4-4 third period tie with a pair of goals in the final six minutes to defeat the Calgary Hitmen 6-4 on Tuesday at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

It was the TELUS BE BRAVE Anti-Bullying Game with over 14,000 Calgary and area students in attendance to learn about the importance of acceptance and bullying prevention from two guest speakers, concourse displays and in-game activities. Mackenzie Murphy, mental health and anti-bullying advocate, spoke during the first intermission while Tad Milmine, a constable with Calgary Police Service and founder of 'Bullying Ends Here', addressed the crowd in the second intermission.

Aleksi Heponiemi led the Broncos with four assists while six different players provided goals in MacKenzie Wight, Jacson Alexander, Tyler Steenbergen, Glenn Gawdin, Giorgio Estephan and Beck Malenstyn.

On the Hitmen, side Dakota Krebs and Jake Kryski both tallied a pair of assists with Jakob Stukel, Riley Stotts, Vladislav Yeryomenko and Carson Focht finding the back of the net.

Calgary will now head out on the road for a pair of games starting tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 28 in Red Deer before a trip to Edmonton on Friday, Mar. 1.

The Hitmen return home to host Regina on Saturday, Mar. 3 in a 7:00 p.m. start at the Scotiabank Saddledome and Red Deer on Sunday, Mar. 4 in a 4:00 p.m. puck drop.

The visit from the Rebels is on Multicultural Day presented by Cornerstone. It's also Sunday Funday presented by Pocky. There will be face painters, concourse activities, lots of giveaways and a post-game family skate that is FREE with a game ticket. Sunday Funday contests also feature a specially priced $8.99 ticket (plus applicable fees) for kids 12 and under.
