Broncos Announce Training Camp Schedule

Swift Current, SK - The Swift Current Broncos are excited to release their training camp schedule ahead of the 2019-20 season.

Training camp runs from Sunday, August 25 through Thursday, August 29. All on-ice sessions will be held at the Innovation Credit Union iPlex.

The on-ice portion of training camp begins Monday, August 26 and features practice and skill tests, as well as small area games between the four teams. The teams are: Sakic, Kennedy, Lowry and Smith. Full team rosters will be announced in the coming days.

The camp will feature plenty of familiar faces to Broncos fans, but also new ones as prospects such as Mathew Ward and Tyson Jugnauth, the Broncos first-round picks in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft, will be in attendance.

Tuesday and Wednesday the teams will each play two scrimmage games, and camp will conclude with the annual Blue vs. White intra squad game at 2:00 on Thursday, August 29. Training camp is open to the public and everyone is invited to get their first look at the 2019-20 Swift Current Broncos.

The Broncos then kick off their pre-season schedule with a game in Regina against the Moose Jaw Warriors at 3:00 on Friday, August 30.

Practice and Skills Test

9:00 - 10:00 a.m. - Team Sakic

10:30 - 11:30 a.m. - Team Kennedy

12:00 - 1:00 p.m. - Team Lowry

1:30-2:30 p.m. - Team Smith

Small Area Games

3:00 - 4:30 p.m. - Team Sakic vs Team Kennedy

5:00 - 6:30 p.m. - Team Lowry vs Team Smith

Tuesday, August 27th

9:00 - 11:00 a.m. - Team Sakic vs Team Lowry

11:30 - 1:30 p.m. - Team Kennedy vs Team Smith

4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Team Sakic vs Team Smith

6:30 - 8:30 p.m. - Team Lowry vs Team Kennedy

Wednesday, August 27th

8:30 - 10:00 a.m. - Team Sakic vs Team Kennedy

10:30 - 12:00 p.m. - Team Lowry vs Team Smith

12:30 - 1:30 p.m. - Goalie Session

2:00 - 4:00 p.m. - Third place vs Fourth Place

6:00 - 8:00 p.m. - First place vs Second Place

Thursday, August 28th

2:00 - 4:00 p.m. - Blue vs White intra-squad game

*All games will are 5-on-5 and will end with a five-minute 3-on-3 sudden death and shootout. Please note ice times are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
