Winnipeg ICE Announce Roster, Schedule for 2019 Training Camp Presented by Hilton Garden Inn Winnipeg South

Winnipeg, MB - The Winnipeg ICE Hockey Club announced on Wednesday the roster and schedule for its 2019 Training Camp presented by Hilton Garden Inn Winnipeg South.

The roster consists of eight goaltenders, 22 defencemen and 39 forwards split into four teams. The entire training camp roster and Winnipeg ICE Hockey Operations staff can be viewed by clicking the link provided >> CLICK HERE

Training Camp will take place at the RINK Training Centre (located at 57 South Landing Drive just off McGillivray Boulevard), beginning on Wednesday, August 28th and concluding on Sunday, September 1st.

Training Camp will include the first-ever Jarret Stoll Cup, which will be awarded to the best team during camp. The Jarret Stoll Cup Championship Game will take place on Saturday, August 31 from 4:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.

Jarret Stoll is regarded as the best player in ICE franchise history, and became the first player inducted into the ICE Hall of Fame in March of 2019. Stoll is second all-time in points (286), assists (162) and power play goals (54). Stoll finished his WHL career with two WHL Championships (2000, 2002) and one Memorial Cup (2002).

All on-ice training camp sessions and the Jarret Stoll Cup are free and open for the public to watch.

The 2019 Training Camp Showcase game presented by Hilton Garden Inn Winnipeg South is scheduled to take place at 5:00 p.m. on September 1. Tickets are $5.00 (including tax) for adults and children under 12 will receive free admission. Tickets can be purchased starting on Friday, August 23 at the RINK Training Centre.

More information on the 2019 Training Camp Showcase game will be released closer to September 1.
