Broncos Acquire Walker

Swift Current,SK - Swift Current Bronco General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb has announced that the club has acquired defenceman Eric Walker from the Vancouver Giants in exchange for a 8th round pick in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft.

Walker has recorded two assists in 16 games played with the Giants this season. Last season, the 6'2", 200lbs. product of Castlegar, BC posted four goals and seven assists in 53 games played with the Trail Smoke Eaters of the BCHL.

"Eric is a stay at home, gritty defenceman that we feel will be a great fit to our club," states Assistant General Manager and Director of Player Personnel, Jamie Porter.

Walker will join the team immediately.
