Brockman to Follow Hawks into af2

Everett Hawks News Release

The one thing Hassan Brockman loves most about the indoor game is the energy and the proximity of the fans to the playing field. And no player heard loader cheers from the Everett faithful last year. Luckily for both fans and player, Brockman has been assigned to the Hawks for the 2006 inaugural af2 season.

Brockman, the 5'11" receiver out of the University of Bridgeport, will once again be a deep threat for Everett. Brockman showed flashes of brilliance last season, doing his best to emulate his childhood favorites Marcus Allen, Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders. Hassan was second on the team in receptions (27) and receiving touchdowns (8) and also had a 49 yard kickoff return for a touchdown. But Brockman will look to become a bigger part of the offense in '06 and move closer to his goal of making it to the AFL.

Brockman started his college playing career at Camden County College in New Jersey. After earning First Team All-Conference as a freshman and being named MVP of his team, He decided to build on that success by transferring to the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, where he earned his degree in business administration.

During the off-season Brockman resides in Philadelphia, PA where he enjoys playing with his two children Hassan Jr. (10) and Hanifah (5). Hassan is also an active member of the Philadelphia community and serves as a coach for several youth sports teams. The Hawks and the city of Everett share in the excitement of Hassan's return.
