Tulsa Talons News Release

TULSA - The Tulsa Talons of the arenafootball2 (af2) has officially been assigned former 2004 WR/LB, Zac Jones. Jones is first on the Talons roster for the upcoming 2006 season.

WR/LB Zac "The Maniac" Jones (6'3, 225 lbs, 1-year) joins the Talons for another hard-hitting season. As a professional football player, Jones has played for the NIFL Rapid City Red Dogs, af2 Rochester Brigade and the Tulsa Talons. Jones played college ball for Chadron State in Nebraska. As a Talon, Jones has recorded 25 catches for 249 yards and four touchdowns with a 22-yard long, one kickoff return, 21 tackles (12 unassisted) and forced one fumble in 11 games before his injury in 2004. Jones broke his right fibula during his exceptional one-handed touchdown grab that was replayed several times on television verses Wichita Stealth. This remarkable catch was the end of his 2004 football season. On week 17, Jones had tendon reconstructive surgery, which was identical to Curt Shilling, pitcher for the Boston Red Sox.

"It's nice having Zac back on the team for the upcoming 2006 season. Ever since his injury in 2004, Zac has been going through some tough rehab and working for us at Crown Bristow. We are going to miss him here at the dealership while he is in season. We look forward to seeing him on the field as a Talon once again," stated Co-Owner, Henry Primeaux.
