June 14, 2011 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Tulsa Talons News Release

Talons defensive back J.C. Neal and wide receiver Al Hunt have won AFL weekly awards for their performances in the Talons 81-51 win over the Utah Blaze last weekend.

Neal was named the Riddell defensive player of the week after having his best game in a Talons' uniform. The North Carolina State product had 2 pick sixes in the game against Utah, returned an on-side kick for a touchdown and had 6 tackles in the game giving him 70 for the season which places him 8th overall in the league.

Hunt was awarded with the Cutter's catch of the week. In his 1st game back after missing 4 games due to injury, Hunt made a spectacular juggling catch for a touchdown in the second quarter which gave the Talons the lead for good on their way to a convincing 30-point win over the Blaze.

The Talons win over Utah put them back in the playoff picture. With 6 games remaining in the 2011 season, the Talons are tied for the final playoff spot in the National Conference with San Jose, Spokane and Utah. The Talons are on the road this weekend in Philadelphia and return home on July 25th as they battle the Dallas Vigilantes.

2011 Remaining Home Schedule

6/25 Dallas 7pm

7/9 Tampa Bay 7pm

7/16 Orlando 7pm

The Talons will once again play all home games at one of the best arenas in the country, the BOK Center in downtown Tulsa. Since the opening in September of 2008, the BOK Center has garnered national and worldwide recognition most recently being ranked 5th in the U.S. and 14th in the world for ticket sales in the 3rd quarter of 2009.
