Brittain Reassigned to Jackals

The Elmira Jackals announced on Thursday that forward Josh Brittain has been reassigned to the club by its NHL affiliate, the Anaheim Ducks, from its AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch. The Jackals meet the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:05 p.m. tonight.

Brittain registered his first-career multi-goal game on Saturday, scoring twice in a 7-4 Jackals victory over the Wheeling Nailers. He has three goals in five games with Elmira in 2011-2012 and has one assist in 14 contests with the Crunch this season. A second-year pro from Milton, Ontario, Brittain played in 38 games with Elmira in his rookie season of 2010-2011, scoring three goals and adding eight assists for 11 points. Brittain posted one assist in 13 games with Syracuse last season.
