
Brinkley leads Carolina to 5-3 win

Zebulon, NC --- Dante Brinkley collected four hits as Carolina beat Chattanooga 5-3 at Five County Stadium on Monday night.
Brinkley, making his second Double-A start, doubled and singled twice as the Mudcats (6-12) won for the second time in three games. Carolina pounded out 12 hits in the victory, and pulled to within four games of first-place Tennessee.
Gaby Hernandez (W, 2-2) notched his second victory, working six innings, allowing three hits and two runs. Grant Psomas hit a two-run homer to tie the game in the third.
Manu Olivera (0-2, 4.40) starts the fourth game of the series on Tuesday night against the Lookouts.
