Brigham kept the Generals off the board through his five innings, and Jackson did not score until the seventh inning. Against Jacksonville reliever Esmerling De La Rosa, an infield single by Jose Vinicio with two outs brought in a run to get the Generals on the board at 3-1. With two outs in the inning, left-handed relief pitcher Jeff Kinley came in to get the final out and keep Jacksonville in front 3-1.

The Generals scored a run off Crescentini in the bottom of the ninth, with Alberto Rosario collecting a two-out RBI single to put the score at 3-2. Crescentini then struck out pinch-hitter Matt Jones to end the game for Jacksonville's first win of the year.
