Bridgeport Bluefish Announces McCracken-Perisho Signings

Bridgeport, CT (May 18, 2007) - The Bridgeport Bluefish announced over the weekend that they have signed outfielder Quinton McCracken and left handed pitcher Matt Perisho.

McCracken, 36, was taken by the Colorado Rockies in the 25th round of the 1992 draft. The former New Haven Raven has played 999 games in the big leagues with the Rockies, Devil Rays, Twins, Diamondbacks, Mariners, and Reds. Over the course of his major league career, McCracken has compiled 675 hits while scoring 359 runs and stealing 89 bases. One of his best seasons came in 2002 when he hit a career high .309 in 123 games with D-Backs.

Perisho, 31, was selected by the Anaheim Angels in the 3rd round of the 1993 draft. Over the course of 13 seasons, he has spent time in the Angels, Rangers, Tigers, Devil Rays, Diamondbacks Rockies, Marlins and Red Sox systems going 11-17 in 177 games on the major league level. His best season was 2004 when he went 5-3 with a 4.40 era in 66 games for the Florida Marlins. In the minors, his best season came in 1999 when he posted a 15-7 record for the Texas Rangers' AAA affiliate in Oklahoma City.
