Brian Sylvestre and Nazmi Albadawi Nominated for NASL Awards

Cary, N.C.- Goalkeeper Brian Sylvestre and captain Nazmi Albadawi have each been nominated for end-of-season NASL Awards. Sylvestre is in the running for the NASL Young Player of the Year, an award given to the top player aged 23 years and under for his play over the course of the Spring and Fall Seasons. Albadawi has been nominated for the Golden Ball Award that is given to the league's most valuable player (MVP). Fans have the opportunity to place a vote for their favorite nominee for these NASL Awards.

Voting ends on Tuesday, October 25 at 5 p.m. ET.

Sylvestre has played in 18 games this season, earning 1,620 minutes. The Florida native has a 74.7 percent save to shot ratio and has secured five clean sheets this season. He was named to the NASL Team of the Week for Week 15 of the Fall Season.

Albadawi has the most minutes on the team this season, logging 2,357 minutes in 27 games. He has three goals and recently set an NASL record for most assists in a single season with 10 in 2016. He has been named to the NASL Team of the Week four times in the Spring and Fall Seasons and was the NASL Player of the Week for Week 2 of the Fall Season.
