
Brett Hunter Returns; Miles Head to the DL

Tulsa, OK - Relief pitcher Brett Hunter was reassigned to the RockHounds on Wednesday in Tulsa. Hunter spent the entire 2012 season with the RockHounds, appearing in 42 games, while posting a 3-3 record and a 4.50 ERA. The former 7th round selection out of Pepperdine University had appeared in three games for the Stockton Ports so far this season. Hunter takes Paul Smyth's spot on the active roster. Smyth was promoted to Triple-A after Saturday's game.
Miles Head was placed on the disabled list on Wednesday as well. Head has struggled so far this season, after having a breakout season a year ago. Michael Fabiaschi was activated. The RockHounds now have three of their more potent bats on the DL. Miles Head, Jefry Marte (leg) and Josh Whitaker (wrist).
The RockHounds continue their current six game road trip in Tulsa on Thursday after falling 8-4 in the first game of the series. The RockHounds return to Citibank Ballpark after Memorial Day to start a six game home stand. Reserve your seats in advance.
