Breast Cancer Research Night October 12th, 2007

The Saskatoon Blades, with the help of corporate sponsors TCU and C95, are raising funds for breast cancer research at their next home game this Friday, October 12th.

The hockey club is also proud to announce that if 9,500 fans attend the game, Blades Head Coach and General Manager Lorne Molleken, along with 14 Blades players, have volunteered to shave their heads at centre ice. Some of these players include:

Braden Holtby

Colton Gillies

Ryan Funk

Justin McCrae

Derek Hulak

The Blades will be donating a portion of proceeds raised through ticket sales that night to breast cancer research. Western Concessions has also stepped up to support the evening and will be donating all proceeds from pink cotton candy sales that night.

The game will feature a Desperate Housewives theme that will see major prizes for the ladies in attendance that night in addition to regular Blades promotions.
