
Braves' No. 13 Prospect Greyson Jenista Promoted to M-Braves

PEARL, MS - The Atlanta Braves have made the following roster moves before tonight's 6:35 pm game against Biloxi, which affects the Mississippi Braves roster. OF Greyson Jenista was promoted to Mississippi from High-A Florida and OF Connor Lien has been placed on the 7-day Injured List.
Jenista, 22, the No. 13 overall prospect for the Atlanta Braves was batting .223 (45-for-202) this season for the Florida Fire Frogs with 14 doubles, one triple, four home runs, 29 RBI, 24 runs scored, 27 walks and a .673 OPS in 56 games. Atlanta selected the Eudora, Kansas native with the 49th overall pick in the 2018 draft out of Wichita State, where he batted .318 (192-for-604) in 171 career games. He entered the draft named by Baseball America as the No. 29 prospect overall. Jenista is the first 2018 draft pick to be promoted to Double-A.
In his first professional season last year, Jenista split his debut season between rookie-level Danville, Single-A Rome and High-A Florida, and combined to bat .265 (59-for-223) in 61 total games. He made his professional debut with Danville on June 19 vs. Pulaski and collected his first two hits the next day, going 2-for-4. He hit his first professional home run, June 23 at Princeton.
With Jenista's addition to the roster the M-Braves now have 11 of Atlanta's top 30 prospects on the active roster.
Lien, 25, is batting .193 (21-for-109) this season for the M-Braves with five doubles, two triples, five home runs 13 RBI, 13 walks 13 runs scored, four stolen bases and a .703 OPS in 38 games. Lien is tied for the team-lead in home runs. This is Lien's second stint on the injured list this season, missing time from May 18-25 with a laceration on his right calf.
The Orlando native has 48 career home runs and was Atlanta's 12th round selection on 2012 draft out of Olympia High School in Orlando, Florida.
