
Braves lose in Rochester

Rochester, NY- The Rochester Red Wings beat the Richmond Braves 7-5 at Frontier Field Monday. The Wings erupted for five runs in the second inning to send the Braves to their third straight loss.
Richmond jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning on a two-run homer by Andy Marte. The Wings rallied right back helped by an error that opened the door for a two-out two-run single by Rob Bowen and a two run double by Augie Ojeda. Scott Pratt homered in the third for the Braves and Esix Snead doubled a run home in the fifth but the Red Wings added single runs in the third and fifth. The Braves allowed six unearned runs on two errors.
Kevin Barry returned from the disabled list to work three innings of scoreless relief. Marte and Tony Pena had two hits for the Braves. Four Red Wings, including former Brave Jason Tyner had two hits. Willie Eyre picked up the win. Trey Hodges took the loss.
