WORCESTER, Mass. - Perhaps the Worcester Bravehearts were playing with emotion against the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide given it was manager Alex Trezza's final night with the team. Or maybe it was the luck of the Irish on Irish Night at the ballpark.

Either way, the Bravehearts steamrolled the Tide, as they scored 10 first-inning runs in a 19-1 victory June 21 at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field.

Old Orchard Beach starter Logan Sanborn took the loss allowing all 10 first-inning runs to score.

However, thanks to three errors by the Raging Tide, only four of those runs were earned.

The Bravehearts batted around in the first and third innings and even increased their lead to 17-0 after four innings. Worcester combined for 16 hits including four from Hopedale, Mass, native outfielder Ian Strom who went 4-5 at the plate. Designated hitter Mark DeYoung also got in on the action, as he hit knocked in five runs on three doubles.

Right fielder Nate Pajka, who has started in three consecutive games, went 2-5 with 3RBIs on a double and a triple. Pajka's fourth triple of the season is ties him for the lead in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League.

Worcester starter Logan Fullmer made quick work of the Raging Tide, as he allowed only two hits and one unearned run on a throwing error by shortstop Andy Lack. Fullmer moved to 2-0 this season, as he struck out seven batters in five innings pitched. Clark University pitcher Miles Sheehan, Worcester, Mass. native David Montiverdi and Flagler College pitcher Chris Dious pitched four scoreless innings combined in relief, only surrendering one ninth-inning hit.

Interim manager Justin Edwards will now lead the 12-4 Bravehearts, as Alex Trezza accepted an offer to coach the Division I LIU-Brooklyn Blackbirds on June 20. Worcester will host the 9-8 Torrington Titans at 2:05 p.m. June 22 at Hanover Insurance Park in Edwards' first game at the helm.
