
Raging Tide Holds off Wachusett

LEOMINSTER, Mass (June 22, 2014). The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs late attempt at a comeback fell short against the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide. The Dirt Dawgs were able to make the score 11-9 before the Raging Tide pulled away with the win.
The Dirt Dawgs offense was highlighted by Mike Corin (Rhode Island) who had two hits including his sixth home run of the season. He also had two RBIs. Mattingly Romanin (Chicago State) had a double and a triple with two RBIs. Richard Fecteau (Salem State), Joe Breen (Southern Connecticut), and Kurtis White (Franklin Pierce) each had two hits on the day.
Paul McDonough (Southern Maine) had three singles on the night and had five RBIs for the Raging Tide. Kyle Mendenhall (Oklahoma) had four RBIs in the game including a three run home run in the third inning.
The Dirt Dawgs will travel to Old Orchard Beach Tuesday, June 24 before returning home on Wednesday, June 25 to take on the Worcester Bravehearts. The Dirt Dawgs have not announced their probable pitchers for the upcoming week yet.
