Brandon Waddell has been named the Florida State League Player of the Month for April. The press release from Minor League Baseball is attached. The portion about Waddell's recognition is excerpted below:

Bradenton Marauders (Pirates) left-handed pitcher Brandon Waddell went 4-0 with a 0.93 ERA in five starts to capture Florida State League Player of the Month honors. Waddell allowed just 13 hits and two walks while striking out 26 over 29.0 innings and did not allow more than three hits in a start. Waddell, 21, was promoted to Double-A Altoona earlier this week. He was selected by Pittsburgh in the fifth round of the 2015 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Virginia.

Waddell made his Double-A debut last night and earned the win for the Altoona Curve.
