
Branch earns Golie of the Month honors for second straight month!

Fraser, MI â The United Hockey League announced Monday that Motor City Mechanics goaltender Rod Branch has been named the Southern Sports Supply Goalie of the Month for the month of April.
Branch recorded a perfect 6-0-0 record during the final month of regular season play, including a 1.33 GAA and a .953 save percentage. Finishing the season with a 31-25-6 record, Branch recorded 11 consecutive wins to close out the season. Branch made 47 saves in the season finale against Elmira, a 4-1 Motor City win, and 163 saves overall during the month of April. Branch led all UHL goaltenders this season with saves (1,812) and finished second among UHL goalies in minutes played (3,686).
This the second consecutive month that Branch was named UHL Goaltender of the Month. Branch was also named UHL Goalie of the Week twice this season, including last week. Overall, the Mechanics finished the season 37-36-7 and ended the season winning 18 of their last 19 games.
