NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (October 10)- It's official: training camp for the 2011-2012 Texas Brahmas has kicked off this morning with 27 skaters vying for their position on the roster.
Invited to training camp this season are FORWARDS: Alex Curran, Mark Ehl, Phil Fox, T.J. Fox, Brendon Hodge, Adam Hogg, Kyle Howarth, Jordan Kary, Neil Ruffini, Stuart Stefan, Mike Towns, Nolan Waker, Matt Wallace and Chad Woollard; DEFENSEMEN: Jim Burichin, Gregg Eskedjian, Andrew Lackner, Brock Meadows, Jaques Perreault, Ross Rouleau, Erik Spady; GOALIES: Mark Guggenberger and Steve Silverthorn and MAKING THE CUT: Kraymer Barnstable, Thomas Galiani, Alexander Molnar and Tanner Tomlinson.
Following four days of "two-a-day" practices, the Brahmas will travel to Allen for an exhibition game against the Americans Friday night at 7 pm at the Allen Events Center.
All Brahmas season ticket holders will receive a free ticket to the road game.
This Saturday, October 15 the Brahmas host the Americans at the NYTEX Sports Centre for the final preseason game of the year with a 7:30 pm faceoff.
All tickets to the contest are $10, but on a first come, first served basis.
The Brahmas 2011-12 season will open October 22, but season tickets are available now, including flexible packages. GOLFING WITH THE BRAHMAS:
The Brahmas Golf Invitational scheduled to be played yesterday, has been moved to this coming Sunday, October 16, due to inclement weather. The tournament will be at the Resort at Eagle Mountain for a 1 pm shotgun start.
There are various methods for signing up, whether it be for a sponsorship, team or as an individual. This is a great opportunity to meet, greet and eat with the 2011-12 Brahmas players, coaches and training staff just before they kick off their newest season.
CASINO NIGHT:
Got "Lady Luck" on your side' Attend the Brahmas preseason game on Saturday, October 15th then attend Casino Night immediately after; all at the NYTEX Sports Centre. Tickets for Casino Night, sponsored by the Junior Brahmas, are $40 and can be bought online at www.nytexsports.com. Various booths will be set up, including: Texas Hold ¬ËEm Tournament, Blackjack and Craps.
