
Training Camp Begins

LAREDO, TX: The Laredo Bucks, of the Central Hockey League, announced Monday that the start of the 2011-2012 Training Camp begins at 10am.
The Laredo Bucks hit the ice for the opening of their 10th training camp. The Bucks will skate twice a day for the next three days. The morning practice will begin at 10am till 11:30am and the afternoon practice will begin at 4pm till 5:30pm.
Thursday, October 13th, the Bucks will practice in the morning at 10am before preparing to hit the road that afternoon to face their rival, the Rio Grande Killer Bees, at 7pm. The Bucks will return to Laredo after the game. They will have another 10am practice before suiting up to take on the Bees at the Laredo Energy Arena at 7pm on Friday, October 14th.
The Bucks have 25 players attending training camp. They have 15 forwards, 7 defensemen and 3 goalies. The roster will be taken down to 18 by the conclusion of training camp on October 19th. The Laredo Bucks will end camp several days early due to starting the regular season in Arizona on Friday October 21st.
When asked how Head Coach Serge Dube felt about the start of training camp, he stated the following: "I am extremely excited about training camp today not just because it is the first day on the ice as head coach but also see the guys that I personally recruited for the first time."
EXHIBITION GAME FRIDAY OCTOBER 14TH:
The Laredo Bucks will host the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees Friday, October 14th at 7:30pm. All tickets, including season ticket holder seats, are only $5. All proceeds from the game will go to the United Way, benefitting the South Texas Food Bank. The Bucks are also encouraging fans to bring non-perishable food items to also be donated to the South Texas Food Bank.
