
Brahmas Lose 2-1 to Sundogs

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (February 2) - The Brahmas lost their second straight game Saturday night as the Arizona Sundogs held on late for 2-1 victory.
Sy Nutkevitch gave Fort Worth an early 1-0 edge just 6:59 into the first period. For Nutkevitch, 10th goal of the season.
Arizona evened the score at 1-1 before the end of the opening frame, as Derek LeBlanc found the back of the net at 13:34.
7:40 into the second period, Ron Meyers scored the eventual game-winning goal as he streaked down the right side and snuck the puck past Brahmas netminder Brad Fogal.
Fogal (10-8-1) stopped 21 of 23 shots in net for Fort Worth. Sundogs goaltender Adam Russo made 26 saves on 27 shots to earn his 11th victory of the season.
Fort Worth hits the road for five straight games, beginning Tuesday, February 5 at the cross-town rival Allen Americans. The Brahmas are back in action at the NYTEX Sports Centre Friday, February 15 at 7:30pm to host the Americans.
