Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (March 31)- The rivalry between the Brahmas and Mudbugs have many storylines, but it was Texas' forward Jordan Cameron starring in Monday's plot as he led the Brahmas in a 4-3 win in Game 2.

Cameron highlighted the first and second period with a pair of even strength goals over Bossier goaltender Jon DeCaro. Mudbugs forward Brett Smith put his team on the board with six minutes remaining in the second period on the powerplay.

Seconds after the Mudbugs posted their first goal of the evening, Bossier captain Chris Brassard was ejected from the game with a major elbowing penalty and game misconduct. This seemed to put the fire back in the Mudbugs as Tyrel Lucas opened the third period with his second goal of the series on Brahmas netminder David Cacciola, tying the game 2-2.

Brahmas veteran Chris Thompson allowed Texas to regain the lead on the powerplay with his second goal in as many nights.

Bossier was still looking to go 1-1 in the series when Smith deflected a Justin Aikens slapshot to even the game 3-3 at the 8:01 mark in the third period. It was Smith's second goal of the evening.

Still, it was the Jordan Cameron show at CenturyTel Center as he lifted his team to a victory with a goal in the winding seconds of the third, earning a hat trick and a Brahmas 4-3 win.

The Brahmas now lead 2-0 in the best of seven series and will return to the NYTEX Sports Centre for Games 3 and 4 on Friday and Saturday. Game times are 7:05 PM. For ticket information please contact the Brahmas offices at (817) 336-4423.
