Brad Turney Returns to Aces' Organization as Assistant Coach

Alexandria, LA; July 14, 2011 - The Alexandria Aces have announced that Brad Turney, former Aces' player from 2006-2009 and winner of three league championships during that timeframe will return as an Assistant Coach for the Alexandria Aces. Aces' fans will be able to see Brad in uniform starting with tomorrow night's game, Friday, July 15th as the Aces take on the Victoria Generals with game time at 7 p.m.

"I am excited for this opportunity. I think I can bring a lot of knowledge to these players from my time on the field," Brad commented. "It was a good feeling walking through the (office) doors this afternoon. It will be different not playing between the white lines, but it is still good to be back out on the field again, although in a different capacity."

Turney will also help with the Academy Sports & Outdoors Youth Baseball Clinic, which will begin at 10:00 a.m Saturday morning. All youth that participate in the clinic will be given two tickets to the Aces' game that night against the Victoria Generals on Academy Sports & Outdoors Cap Night at Bringhurst Field. The Aces and the Generals will start at 7 p.m., with gates opening at 6:30 p.m.

The Aces return home this Friday and Saturday to face the Victoria Generals for a two-game series before the All-Star Game and break next Monday and Tuesday. The Aces are trying to obtain a playoff spot for the 2011 TCL Playoffs. Come out and show your support for the Aces this weekend.
