Brad Mills Named ECHL Player of Week

West Valley City, Utah - Brad Mills of the Utah Grizzlies is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Nov. 26-Dec. 2.

Mills scored three goals and added three assists for six points, helping the Grizzlies to a 2-0-0 record last week.

The 29-year-old tallied four points (2g-2a) and was a +2 in a 7-4 win over San Francisco on Friday and then registered two points (1g-1a) in a 3-2 victory against the Bulls on Saturday.

A native of Olds, Alberta, Mills leads the Grizzlies this season with nine goals and is tied for second on the club with 18 points.

Mills has 34 points (18g-16a) in 39 career ECHL games with Utah and Trenton, and has added 90 points (39g-51a) in 252 career American Hockey League games with Lowell and Albany. He made his NHL debut with New Jersey on Oct. 30, 2010, and has tallied two points (1g-1a) in 31 career games with the Devils.

On behalf of Brad Mills, a case of pucks will be donated to a Utah youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 27,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.

The Grizzlies return home Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15 to host Alaska. Face-off both nights is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The 14th is "Pooch on the Pond" where fans are can bring their dogs to the game. The 15th is our Toy Drive and a post-game skate with the team. Fans who bring a toy to the game can get $5 off a center plaza ticket or $3 off a center plaza ticket.
