Orlando Solar Bears News Release
Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears are holding their Holiday Season Teddy Bear Toss event to benefit Central Florida families and children in need during their game against the Fort Wayne Komets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 7, at the Amway Center.
Fans are encouraged to bring new teddy bears and stuffed animals to toss onto the [image: Teddy Bear Toss] ice during the first intermission. The collected Teddy Bears will be donated to Central Florida families in need through our charity partners for the game, which include the Autism Society of Greater Orlando, Toys For Tots, the Community Food & Outreach Center, and 106.7 Baby DJ. A limited number of stuffed animals will be available to purchase at the game and will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. Net proceeds from the sale of the stuffed animals will be donated equally to the charities.
Upon entering the building (Amway doors open at 6:00 p.m.), fans can visit tables in the Disney Atrium located at the Church Street and the Geico Garage entrances if they would like to register their bear to be eligible for the Teddy Bear Toss grand prizes. One lucky winner will be awarded two club level seats for the sold out Justin Bieber concert at the Amway Center on January 25th, and multiple winners will take home glass seat front row Solar Bears tickets to future home games. Each table will be stocked with rubber bands, entry forms and pens to label each bear with the donor's name.
During the first intermission of Friday's game, fans can begin to throw their stuffed animals on the ice toward prize bins. Winners will be selected from those stuffed animals that successfully land in the prize bins.
The Solar Bears return home to the Amway Center for a three game series against the Fort Wayne Komets on Friday, December 7th at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8th at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 9th at 3:00 p.m. Good seats are still available. Visit OrlandoSolarBearsHockey.com .
