NEWS AND NOTES
Vs. Lugnuts: This is already the third series between the Hot Rods and the Lugnuts this season. Earlier in April, the Hot Rods took 2 of 3 from the Lugnuts at Bowling Green Ballpark. Bowling Green won the first game of the series and then, after a rainout, the two teams split a doubleheader with Lansing winning game one (3-0) and Bowling Green winning game two (5-3). Last week, the two teams split a four-game series at Cooley Law School Stadium with the Hot Rods winning the first two games and the Lugnuts winning the second two games. For Bowling Green, 11 of their first 23 games this season will have come against Lansing. The two teams play a total of 18 times this year.

Roster Moves: Finsihing off flurry of roster moves during the week, RHP Adrian Navas was transferred to the Hot Rods active roster from the termporary inactive list while LHP Sam Long was sent to extended spring training. Long was activated to the Hot Rods roster on Tuesday when RHP Brian McAfee was placed on the disabled list while Navas was placed on the temporary inactive list on Monday, which RHP Reimin Ramos was activated to the roster.
Marathon Monday: On Monday, the Hot Rods and Dayton Dragons played a 12-inniing game which took 4:21. It was the longest game for the Hot Rods since August 5, 2013, where the Hot Rods played their longest game in franchise history against the South Bend Cubs. That record-contest took 5:08.
Who's Hot: After churning out 23 runs and 42 hits in a three-game series against the Dragons, the Bowling Green has been one of the best offensive teams in the Midwest League over the last two weeks. C Rene Pinto is hitting .454 (15-for-33) over his last nine games.
