HANOVER, Mass. (Nov. 2, 2015) - The Orlando Pride selected Breakers midfielder Maddy Evans in today's NWSL Expansion Draft. Evans was taken ninth overall in the Expansion Draft.

"That was a tough pill to swallow. Maddy is an incredible person and gives her all for the team and her teammates," Boston Breakers general manager Lee Billiard said. "We wish her all the best in Orlando, and knowing Maddy, she is the ideal candidate for an expansion team."

Evans played three seasons in Boston, making 46 appearances, including 23 starts. Selected 29th overall in the 2013 NWSL College Draft by the Breakers, Evans made her professional debut on June 1, 2013, in a 5-1 loss at Sky Blue FC after getting called up from the Breakers Reserves. She went on to make 10 more appearances in 2013.

The following season, Evans started eight of the 17 matches she appeared in, and in 2015, the former Penn State captain set career highs in appearances (18), starts (13), and minutes played (1,150). She also scored the first two goals of her professional career in 2015, the first coming in a 1-1 tie at Washington on June 6, 2015. She scored her second goal on Aug. 26, a 3-1 loss to Seattle on the road.
