SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - The Boomers recorded their first shutout of the season in a 1-0, five-inning victory over the Evansville Otters Saturday night.
The game was delayed one hour and 52 minutes in the middle of the first before the Boomers scored the game's only run in the bottom of the first on an RBI double from Paul Kronenfeld. Brett Mabry made his first start since returning from injured reserve. He threw five scoreless innings allowing three hits and striking out four.
