SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - Playing in the first extra-inning game of the 2013 Frontier League season, the Schaumburg Boomers celebrated a 3-2 walk-off win over the Washington Wild Things in 11 innings.

Alexi Colon played the hero, singling to deep right with the bases loaded and no one out in the bottom of the 11th to drive home Chad Mozingo with the game winning run. The Boomers fell behind 1-0 early in the game as Washington scored in the first inning. Starter Danny Jimenez, a St. Charles, Ill. native, settled down, working through six innings and striking out seven in his season debut.
