WINNIPEG, MBâ The following is the Day 18 report from the 2004 Winnipeg Blue Bombers Training Camp.
ROSTER MOVES â the Winnipeg Blue Bombers today activated wide receiver Gilles Colon and suspended defensive back Tim Carter.
PLAYERS WHO LOOKED GOOD IN PRACTICE â defensive tackle Doug Brown, safety Geoff Drover, quarterback Khari Jones, linebacker Maurice Kelly, linebacker Tony Ortiz, wide receiver Kamau Peterson, runningback Charles Roberts, and wide receiver Jamie Stoddard.
SCARY MOMENT â There was a scary moment for the Blue Bombers coaching staff today when offensive linemen Moe Elewonibi and Dan Gyetvai were knocked to the ground during a drill. After a few moments of uncertainty, the two linemen got back to their feet. They will both play in Thursday's game against the British Columbia Lions.
TOMORROW â There is only one practice session at Canad Inns Stadium. It goes from 10:15-11:00 a.m. All training camp practices are open to the public.
MEDIA ACCESS â Media members may interview players at 11:00 p.m. Head Coach Dave Ritchie will hold his usual pre-game news conference at 11:30 a.m. in the team meeting rooms.
