Bombers Sign Receiver Vincent Marshall, Release Receiver Amey

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today they have agreed to terms with import wide receiver Vincent Marshall. As per team policy, details of the agreement are not disclosed.

Marshall (5-8, 170, Houston '05, DOB: Nov. 12, 1983 in Ennis, TX) totaled 372 yards, including one touchdown, over five games with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2008. Marshall played five games for the Roughriders and accumulated 372 all-purpose yards. He finished the season with a total of nine receptions for 145 yards and returned seven kicks for 160 yards and six punts for 67 yards He played three games for the Roughriders in 2007 after attending Atlanta Falcons training camp.

He was in Calgary's training camp in 2009.

Marshall was a versatile star at the University of Houston, racking up more than 4,600 all-purpose yards in his four seasons with the Cougars. He made a total of 272 catches during his college career for 3,770 yards and 26 touchdowns. He also had 37 rushes for 299 yards and one touchdown. He was used extensively as a returner his final two seasons, bringing back 32 punts for 323 yards and a touchdown and 16 kickoffs for 370 yards.

The Blue Bombers have also released import wide receiver Otis Amey.
