WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Football Club was busy today, signing free agent offensive linemen Glenn January and Steve Morley.

As per team policy, details of the agreements are not disclosed.

January (6-5, 310, Texas Tech '07, DOB: May 25, 1983 in Houston, TX) is an import offensive tackle that played in 17 regular season contests - 14 starts - with Saskatchewan last season.

January was traded to Saskatchewan prior to the 2008 season from Toronto, where he played 13 games for the Argos in 2007 - his first year in the CFL. The third-year veteran played his college football with Texas Tech from 2002-2006 and was named First-Team All-Big 12 Conference in his senior year.

Morley (6-7, 314, St. Mary's '03, DOB: Aug. 18, 1981 in Halifax, NS) is a non-import offensive lineman that also spent last season in Saskatchewan.

Morley dressed for six games last year, making two starts. The former number one overall draft pick in the 2003 CFL Canadian Draft is very versatile and can play every position on the offensive line.

In 2006, Morley saw his first CFL action since his rookie year in Calgary. He dressed for eight games in Toronto, making one start at right tackle.

"We're excited to get these two players. They bring athleticism, as well as mental and physical toughness that we want as our trademark here," said head coach Mike Kelly.

"I think they're guys that want to be here for an extended period and after having conversations with both of them, they're very excited to be Winnipeg Blue Bombers"
