WINNIPEG, MB – The following is a list of Blue Bombers achievements from their playoff game against the British Columbia Lions, Nov. 10:

BLUE BOMBERS – ADVANCED TO WEST DIVISION FINAL

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers won the 2002 West Division Semifinal by beating the British Columbia Lions 30-3 before 22,508 fans at Canad Inns Stadium. The Big Blue controlled the game in every aspect en route to the victory. The team will travel to Edmonton next weekend to face the Eskimos in the West Division Final. The game takes place Sunday, Nov. 17 at Commonwealth Stadium.

BLUE BOMBERS – 50TH PLAYOFF SEASON

The Blue Bombers game against B.C. marked the 50th playoff season for the Big Blue. Winnipeg's 50 playoff seasons are the most of any CFL member club.

BLUE BOMBERS – 105TH PLAYOFF GAME

Winnipeg's battle with B.C. was their 105th all-time playoff game – the most of any CFL team.

BLUE BOMBERS – 58TH PLAYOFF WIN

The win by the Blue & Gold over the Leos was Winnipeg's 58th all-time playoff victory – again the most of any CFL team in the post-season.

BLUE BOMBERS – OFFENSIVE LINE DOUBLE-DIP

A key to Winnipeg's win over B.C. Sunday was the tremendous play of the Big Blue's offensive line. The linemen – Moe Elewonibi, Dan Gyetvai, Benedict Ibisi, Garrick Jones, Dave Mudge and Eric Wilson – recorded the rare feat of an offensive line double-dip of having a 100-yard rusher and allowing no quarterback sacks. Runningback Charles Roberts scampered for 169 rushing yards and thrower Khari Jones had great protection throughout the contest thanks to the hogs up front.

BLUE BOMBERS – 255 RUSHING YARDS

Further credit to the Winnipeg offensive line came in the team's rushing totals. The "Sturm und Drang" duo of Charles Roberts and Mike Sellers hammered B.C.'s front seven from start to finish with the aid of the Blue Bombers O-line. Roberts flashed and dashed his way to 169 yards on only 16 carries and Sellers smashed and crashed to 76 yards on only nine attempts.

ARLAND BRUCE III – 112-YARD MISSED FIELD GOAL RETURN

The Blue Bombers first special teams touchdown of the season came in dramatic fashion, thanks to slotback Arland Bruce III. Seconds after B.C. placekicker Matt Kellett shanked a 50-yard field goal attempt, Bruce III picked up the loose football two yards deep in his end zone and then proceeded to weave his way through a series of would-be Lions defenders to record a 112-yard missed field goal return touchdown. Though the touchdown came early in the game, B.C. never recovered from the play. The score is believed to be one of the longest in CFL playoff history.

BOB CAMERON – 10,000 CAREER PUNTING YARDS – CFL PLAYOFFS

Future hall of famer Bob Cameron added another CFL first to his list of remarkable accomplishments. The CFL's All-Time punting leader surpassed 10,000 career punting yards in playoff games to become the first CFL player to reach five figures in that category. Cameron's punting yards total now stands at 10,042.

BOB CAMERON – 6TH PLACE – MOST CFL PLAYOFF GAMES (TIE)

Bob Cameron tied Canadian Football Hall of Fame member Jackie Parker for 6th place in the CFL record books for playoff games played with 28.

BOB CAMERON – 28 PLAYOFF GAMES AS A PUNTER

Bob Cameron extended his record for games played in the playoffs by a punter with 28.

BOB CAMERON – 249 CAREER PUNTS – PLAYOFFS

Bob Cameron also furthered his record for career punts in the playoffs with 249.

MARVIN COLEMAN – 1ST PLACE ALL-TIME INTERCEPTION RETURN YARDS – PLAYOFFS

Cornerback Marvin Coleman already owns many CFL playoff records. He added greatly to one of those records Sunday in the game against the Lions. After linebacker Brian Clark intercepted Damon Allen and lateraled the football to Coleman, the speedy corner advanced the return another 21 yards to give him 219 career interception return yards in the playoffs.

MARVIN COLEMAN – 4TH PLACE DEFENSIVE TACKLES – PLAYOFFS

Marvin Coleman is always around the football. Whether it's picking off a quarterback or bringing down an opponent, Coleman consistently makes plays. On Sunday, Coleman made five defensive tackles to increase his career playoff total to 53, which moved him into 4th place on the CFL's All-Time playoff list in that category ahead of Don Wilson.

DOUG HOCKING – 2ND PLACE WBB SPECIAL TEAMS TACKLES – SINGLE-GAME

Defensive lineman and special teams maniac Doug Hocking played a huge game against B.C. Sunday. "Hock" made three special teams tackles – including one halacious hit on Carl Kidd – to record the 2nd-best single-game total in club history. The club record of four special teams tackles in a playoff game belongs to Wade Miller (Winnipeg @ Edmonton, Nov. 10, 1996) and Spencer McLennan (Winnipeg @ Hamilton, Nov. 12, 2000).

CHAD PLUMMER – 1ST WBB GAME

It is rare that a player makes their debut with a team in the playoffs, but that's exactly what Chad Plummer did Sunday. The slotback also played in his first CFL playoff game.

CHARLES ROBERTS – 169 RUSHING YARDS

Speedy runningback Charles Roberts had a monster rushing game against the Lions Sunday. "Blink" totaled 169 yards rushing on only 16 carries. He caused fits for B.C.'s three all-star linebackers, passing by the trio with grace and ease. Roberts had a 45-yard rush and a seven-yard touchdown run on successive plays in the early 4th Quarter to seal the Blue Bombers victory.

TROY WESTWOOD – 4TH PLACE CFL FIELD GOALS – PLAYOFFS (TIE)

Placekicker Troy Westwood nailed all three of his field goal attempts Sunday to help the Blue Bombers advance to the West Division Final. His three successful kicks gave him 35 for his playoff career. That moved "Westie" into 4th place tie on the CFL's All-Time list with former Calgary Stampeder Larry Robinson.

TROY WESTWOOD – 9TH PLACE CFL ALL-TIME SCORING – PLAYOFFS

Troy Westwood accounted for 12 of Winnipeg's 30 points against B.C. Sunday to give him 133 points for his playoff career. The total is the 9th best in the CFL record books. Westwood passed both Gerry Organ and Canadian Football Hall of Fame member Don Sutherin in Sunday's game.
