Bombers Game Vs. Express Postponed
July 28, 2011 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Battle Creek Battle Jacks News Release
(Battle Creek, MI) -Unplayable grounds due to last night's thunderstorms have caused today's scheduled game against the Eau Claire Express to be postponed. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader tomorrow night at C.O. Brown Stadium: two seven-inning games, the first of which will be at 6:05pm.
"We are very disappointed that we are unable to play tonight as we have spent the entire day trying to get the field playable. The safety of these men is our top priority when making these decisions and we couldn't in good faith put anyone into an unsafe situation." said Bombers GM Brian Colopy.
Nolan Sanburn, one of the Northwoods League's top prospects, was scheduled to make his final start of the season for the Bomb Squad today and is slated to throw again tomorrow.
