Brazos Valley Bombers News Release
Bryan-College Station (June 3, 2015) - Two games played and two victories for the Bombers to start the season at Cellucor Field as the Bombers win tonight's game by a score of 2-0.
Leftfielder Matt Valdez went 2 for 3, driving in both runs for the Bombers with an RBI single in the 7th inning. Three Bombers pitchers combined to pitch a shutout as the Bombers continue to build their momentum to start the 2015 season, including winning pitcher Ryan Mose who threw two shutout innings without allowing a hit, helping guide the Bombers to a season-opening sweep of the PumpJacks.
The only thing more thrilling than the action on the field tonight was the exciting events occurring in the stands and all around the ballpark throughout the night. The Bombers held Teacher Appreciation Night at the ballpark to show their thanks to local teachers in the B/CS area for all of their hard work and dedication and tonight was also Weenie Wednesday at the ballpark, featuring 90 cent hot dogs to celebrate Citizens State Bank's 90th Anniversary.
The Bombers begin a two-game series against the Victoria Generals tomorrow night (June 4) at Cellucor Field. Tomorrow is Guaranteed Win Night at the ballpark, sponsored by Program Insurance Group. Each fan will walk out of the ballpark a winner and even if the Bombers fall short of a victory on the field, each fan will be given a ticket to attend another game this season. Thirsty Thursday is also taking place on the grounds of Cellucor Field where drinks will be one dollar, thanks to Western Beverages. First pitch will be at 7:05 pm.
