
Bolts earn hard fought come from behind win

Rockford, IL-Sometimes a team has an uphill battle, and that's exactly what the Rockford Lightning faced Tuesday night. Trailing by 17 at halftime, the Bolts clawed their way back to the 96-93 victory over the Michigan Mayhem. It's the third straight win for the Lightning, and they are the first team in the Eastern Conference to reach the ten win mark this season.
Rockford found themselves in a hole after committing 18 turnovers in the first half of the ball game. Brian Lubeck was the leading scorer, scoring 18 of his 23 total points in the second half. Keith Closs added another five blocked shots to his season total, and Stais Boseman picked up another eight assists for the Bolts. Lubeck had a double double, adding 12 rebounds to his 23 points. Rockford moves up to the ten win mark, the third team in the CBA and the first team in the Eastern Conference to do so.
Rockford continues on Wednesday night to Birch Run to face the Great Lakes Storm. It's the first of two matchups on December 29th and 31st. They then return to the Rockford MetroCentre on New Year's Day to face the Gary Steelheads in a 7:35 p.m. contest. There are many exciting events going on, including coasters given away to the first 1,000 fans, courtesy of TDS Metrocom. The Fabulous Janes will take the stage before and after Saturday's game, and the "King of Sports" performs at halftime.
