Boise Hawks Wearing "Stars And Stripes" Cap On July 4th

BOISE, ID - On Monday July 4th the Boise Hawks will be one of 90 Minor League Baseball Clubs wearing a "Stars and Stripes" cap, with the American flag etched into the Boise Hawks logo.

These specialty caps are scarlet with a white front panel that features the American flag design etched into each team's logo. The Boise Hawks "Stars and Stripes" special edition caps will be available for purchase for $25 at the Talon Team Store located at Memorial Stadium, 5600 N. Glenwood Street after Monday night's game.

The 90 Minor League Baseball Clubs and Major League Baseball Properties Inc. (Minor League Baseball's licensing agent) have agreed to donate all royalties from the sales of these caps to Welcome Back Veterans, a program which addresses the needs of returning American Veterans and their families. New Era Cap Co., which produced the caps, is also contributing a portion of the sales to the organization.

The Fourth of July at Memorial Stadium will feature the BIGGEST fireworks show of the season. Pepsi and KBOI will be sponsoring ALS Awareness Night at the ballpark on the Fourth as well, with a one hour all-you-can-eat pre-game picnic in the Hawks' Nest. Tickets are $30 and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the ALS TDI to help treat and prevent Lou Gehrig's Disease The Hawks will also be handing out a limited number of replica away jersey t-shirts, courtesy of Pepsi.
