Boise Hawks News Release
YAKIMA, Wash. - Taking advantage of a season-high five errors, the Yakima Bears ended a three-game losing streak with a 7-2 victory over the Boise Hawks, before fans at County Stadium.
After leaving the bases loaded in the first inning, a pair of Hawks errors helped Yakima to a 2-0 lead, as Westley Moss scored on an error by Paul Hoilman, while Zach Jones scored on a fielding error by Kenny Socorro.
Boise would cut the lead to 2-1 in the fourth on a Travis Garcia sacrifice fly, but an RBI single by Jae-Yun Kim and an RBI double by Moss keyed a three-run rally to push the lead to 5-1. Yakima would add two unearned runs in the fifth on a Kim two-run double to break the game open.
Justin Albert tossed three scoreless innings to pick up the win, with Kim, Moss, and Kerry Jenkins each logging two hits.
Jose Rosario tossed four solid innings in relief for the Hawks, allowing two unearned runs on only one hit. Kyung-Min Na, Ben Klafczynski, and Garcia each had two hits Boise.
The final game of the series is tomorrow night, with Yao-Lin Wang meeting Teo Gutierrez at 8:05 p.m. (MT)
