Boise Burn News Release

(Boise, ID) - It was a big day of news for the af2's Boise Burn, as WR/KR/DB Jomo Wilson and DB/KR Terrance Sanders were each named to the league's All-Ironman team. Then, later in the day, the team was assigned veteran defensive lineman Johnny Jackson.

Boise is the only team to have two representatives on the 11-man All-Ironman list.

Sanders totaled 1,250 all-purpose yards between kickoff returns, missed field goal returns, and interception returns, collecting ten total touchdowns along the way. Wilson led the Burn in all-purpose yards (1,966 - a franchise record), touchdowns (27), and receptions (92).

Each player earned league-wide Ironman honors during the regular season. Wilson was named the JLS Ironman of the Week following last weekend's playoff win over Arkansas. Sanders earned the weekly award twice during the regular season as well.

The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Jackson has played the past two seasons in af2, totaling 19.5 sacks, 22.5 tackles-for-loss, and seven forced fumbles with the Everett Hawks (2007) and Tri-Cities Fever (2008).

"Boise has given me the opportunity to help them in the postseason," Jackson said. "And I'm going to do whatever I can to bring a championship to Boise.

Jackson played two years at Arizona of the Pac Ten, collecting 6 sacks in 2001, before signing free-agent contracts with the NFL's Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys. He has 3.5 sacks in five career games against the Spokane Shock, Boise's opponent this weekend.

Boise (13-4) faces Spokane (16-1) in the second round of the af2's National Conference playoffs Saturday night at 8 PM (Mtn).
