
Bobby Honeyman Receives NWL Player of the Week

Everett, WA - Bobby Honeyman has been named the Northwest League Player of the Week for his performance for the week of July 30-August 5. Honeyman in his last 10 games is hitting .489 with 22 hits and 11 runs while only striking out three times.
On July 24, Honeyman started his eight-game hitting streak and increased his batting average from .304 to .386. The Boise Hawks ended Honeyman's eight-game hitting streak on August 2, a day after going 5-for-5 with seven total bases. Bobby has bounced back and in the three games since the streak ended he has collected seven hits.
The Stony Brook University product has been racking at the plate as he finished his senior year hitting .336, with 71 hits in 211 at-bats. Honeyman currently has 51 hits in NWL action which is tied for eighth best. Since the Second Half of the season, Honeyman has been on fire at the plate hitting .509 with 27 hits and an OPS of 1.292.
Bobby Honeyman, a Massapequa, New York native, was drafted by the Seattle Mariners this year in the 29th round.
