Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
The Tri-City Dust Devils (5-8, 23-28) were held quiet at the plate on Sunday as the team lost 5-1 in the series finale to the Salem Keizer Volcanoes (8-5, 28-23). Owen Miller had all three of Tri-City's hits and drove in the team's lone run.
Salem-Keizer starting pitcher Seth Corry was strong in his debut for the Volcanoes. The southpaw earned the win after only allowing one hit and no runs to the Dust Devils in his five innings of work. Tri-City's All-Star relievers, Dan Dallas and Jordan Guerrero, each tossed a scoreless inning in relief. The two hurlers along with Henry Henry, Owen Miller and Olivier Basabe will represent the Dust Devils at Tuesday's Northwest League vs. Pioneer League All-Star Game. The event will be held at Suplizio Field, home of the Grand Junction Rockies.
Tri-City will return to action after the All-Star break on Thursday. The Hillsboro Hops will come to town to begin a five-game series at Gesa Stadium. Thursday will be Water Bottle Giveaway Night presented by Lourdes Health. Great seats are available by calling the Dust Devils' front office at (509) 544-8789 or by going to www.dustdevilsbaseball.com to purchase tickets.
