Boardwalk Bullies Sign Left Wing Jason Clark

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the East Coast Hockey League signed forward Jason Clark, it was announced today by Bullies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Mike Haviland. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Belmont, Ontario, native played last season for Landshut in the German Oberliga South league. In 45 games, Clark registered 35 points (5G,30A) and 75 penalty minutes. In 1999-00, Clark's first stint with Landshut, he tallied 27 goals and 56 assists for 83 points and 114 penalty minutes in 61 games.

The 6-0, 200-pound left wing played four seasons at Bowling Green University from 1992-96 where he recorded 140 points (52G,88A) and 181 penalty minutes in 155 games. Clark averaged 1.05 points per game in his senior season, registering 15 goals and 28 assists for 43 points in 41 games.

In 1996-97, the veteran 30-year old split his first year as a professional with the Syracuse Crunch in the American Hockey League, and the Wheeling Nailers and Jacksonville Lizard Kings in the ECHL. With the Crunch, Clark recorded six points (3G,3A) in 11 games. In Wheeling, he notched 24 points (10G,14A) in 38 games, and had his best showing in Jacksonville where he registered 34 points (10G,24A) in 28 games.

Clark remained with the Lizard Kings for the 1997-98 campaign. He contributed 18 goals and 36 assists for 54 points in 65 games.

Selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the sixth round (141st overall) of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, Clark adds experience to the Bullies lineup having played in five professional leagues in his career.

"Jason offers immediate depth to the lineup," commented Haviland. "His experience at various levels and different leagues should prove invaluable to our team heading into its second season."
