
Blacktop Royals Aims to Reading Area Community College

Reading, PA â The Reading Royals Professional Hockey Club invites children to lace up their sneakers and rollerblades to test their hockey skills on the blacktop. "Blacktop Royals," the Royals' portable in-line street hockey clinic, will make its next tour stop on Saturday, September 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Reading Area Community College.
"Blacktop Royals" is a traveling Border Patrol rink which has made numerous stops in the county during the summer months. The Royals organization will instruct children on skills such as skating, passing and shooting. The team of participants will then scrimmage to close out the session. "Blacktop Royals" is open to children ages seven to 16 and is free of charge to all participants. Children can bring their favorite sneakers, inline skates, sticks, pads and helmets.
In the case of inclement weather, "Blacktop Royals" will be postponed and rescheduled for a future date.
