IRVINE, Calif. (June 25th, 2015) - Orange County Blues FC has signed defender Ryan Felix for the remainder of the 2015 USL season. Felix made his debut in last night's match vs Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.
Felix, 22, is originally from Corona, Calif. After a myriad of honors during his junior and senior seasons at Santiago High School, the six-foot, three-inch defender spent four years at Loyola Marymount University (LMU). His junior season, 2013, was his most successful at LMU, earning All-WCC Honorable Mention and WCC All-Academic First Team, but only played three matches his senior season due to injury. He joins Billy Thompson and Jack McCracken as former Lions on the Blues roster this season.
"I'm excited to begin my professional career here in Orange County, where I played most of my youth soccer," remarked Felix.
OC Blues FC faces Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 this Saturday, June 27th, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. PT at UC Irvine's Anteater Stadium.
Season and single game tickets for the 2015 OC Blues FC campaign in USL are on sale now. To purchase tickets call 949-333-0418 or for more information email seats@bluessoccerclub.com.
