PIn last night's battle between the Worcester Bravehearts and the Bristol Blues, the Blues were downed by the Bravehearts by a score of 3-2.
The Blues held a 2-1 lead between the fifth and eighth innings, but when the Bravehearts scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, the Blues were unable to come back.
Blues hitter Ryan Costello led the way hitting 2 for 4 and was able to score once.
Blues starting pitcher Tim Cate was able to go seven innings allowing one earned run on four hits adding eight strikeouts to the impressive stat line. The Blues losing pitcher was Ty Robinson and Bravehearts pitcher Clayton Dostal picked up the win.
The Blues and Bravehearts go back at it tonight, July 18, at Muzzy Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm.
